Our History

The company’s roots stretch back to 1946, when John Terral founded a small farm supply business in Lake Providence, Louisiana. That company evolved into a network of several larger businesses that included a bulk material seed company and a farm supply company.

Terral RiverService, Inc. was formed in 1992 through a merger of these two companies and has grown steadily, adding and upgrading facilities throughout the Lower Mississippi region. Today, we are equipped to transport, handle, and store virtually any commodity needed in the marketplace. In the future, we will grow with patience, always observing our long-standing principles of family values, superior service, and wise investment.
